Finale

Saturday night was the final performance of "Hansel and Gretel". Here are all the gingerbread children right before the final act of the final performance. Christy is front row, far left. What a great experience this has been for her!

Does it kind of make you sorta want to do something like this??? A friend from my Artist Way Circle paints props for plays...I've been thinking about asking her if I can help...

I'm glad you and Christy had this experience. Good memories. :)

Yap...I would enjoy being in a play. I don't want to sing(unless it's a choir) or have the main role, but I wouldn't mind a small role for starters. It could happen one day. :-)

That looks and sounds like it was fun for Christy. I wonder if Kiley would like doing something like that? I bet she would. Where did you look to find something like that?

Donetta...Christy's choir teacher at UMHB is also married to the Opera Director for UMHB. She "hand-picked" the kids.

One place you might look is at local theatres...most towns of any size have one and they use local actors for their plays and musicals. They often do children's plays during the summer and they have auditions.

I think this is a wonderful thing! Kids who get the chance to express themselves on stage early usually have a lot more confidence and rarely have trouble talking to people.
