Iris Bed

Nicole weeding the overgrown Iris bed. My back thanks her!
I understand that the lady who lived here before us LOVED Iris flowers. She planted yellow and white ones in this bed and in another smaller bed. I always smile when the first one blossoms. They are such delicate flowers in design and yet hardy in their ability to multiply.

The tulips are up today!

I notice she has gloves on. Smart girl. Unlike me. My hands are already a wreck.

We have deep purple colored ones that bloom the first weekend in May. The person who lived here planted them all over and they do seem to multiply every year:)

it's such a pretty picture, the tree bark contrasting with the different greens. they look really LUSH to me from my desert perspective... suppose that's why they're being weeded...

Susan, it would have been great to see you! I couldn't believe how beautiful the flowers were. I've never walked through a field of them before and been overwhelmed by their frangrance. They are amazingly sweet smelling.

You have the best yard! I was just telling Jon all about it yesterday.
