This beautiful backyard scene was only a few feet away from the sad scene below.
Our lovely Tulip Tree...broken under the weight of the snow.
By late afternoon, the electricity was back on and the snow was mostly melted but Christy's FIRST EVER snowman was still standing.

Oh, I'm so sorry about your tree!!
:(
Sorry your tree broke. Christy's snowman is really nice! I still can't believe you guys had that much snow!!!
It's amazing how much trees affect me. I love all the trees our backyard but the Tulip Tree was my favorite. It has two trunks and fortuanately one of the trunks did not break. You can read my reflections on it's "brokeness" at my other blog.

Snow on Easter -- we did that last year. :) Love the snowman!
Oh, I did not see the snow man this morning!
First off, that may be the cutest snowman I have ever seen. And second, it looks like she had to use every last flake of snow to make him!
Haha Ampersand! The yard was white when she first made her but I didn't get a pic until late afternoon, when everything had melted except the snowoman (Christy said it's a gir). She is still out there today, though her neck is really thin and I think her head may topple in a minute.

So sorry about your tree! Glad to hear that one trunk survived. Very unusual pictures for Easter in TX - but still very pretty! I love the one with your dh, Christie and the snowman. You can tell she's so proud of it. She's just so cute, Susan!
Not a typical Easter! Hope your tree manages to make it. :(
I love the snowman pic!
