Doors We Pass Through...

The door to the oldest Baptist church in town never fails to capture my attention. I love the shape of this door, the contrast of the white wood against the red brick walls and that tiny window in the door always makes me wonder. So many folks have passed through this solid wood door. I suspect each one hoped to find some measure of peace on the other side. I hope they found what they were looking for.

Love the light playing around. :) My batteries are re-charging. Hope I can remember to "snap" later today! BTW, you'd be cute in a hat!

I like the way the tree arches over the arched door! You framed this very nicely. Lovely.

And I love your quote of the day! I'm using "Play as Prayer" in my day of prayer, and I think that's a good quote to use! Thanks! :)

Darn it, Jess said what I was going to say... Anyway, the light and shadows are stunning. And, I do like the sentiment that you expressed along with this photo.

I love old churches, too. And I love the way the light and shadows are playing with each other.
