The Journey
I am blessed to have this lovely labrynth fifteen minutes from my home. Trees grow in the pathways. It is quiet there. I often see tiny yellow butterflies flittering in the grass and birds serenade me as I walk.
Today I walked the labrynth. It is a metaphor for the journey of life.
The center of the labrynth is where one sits and contemplates the journey inward. After focusing, meditating, praying or whatever you feel led to do in the center, one follows the path back out, hopefully leaving refreshed and renewed.

After hearing about the one Karen helped build, I would so love for us to build one. The one there at Cedarbrake is one of my all-time favorites. :)
Sheila- me too! Maybe we will build a labrynth one day. It's possible!
I love when you write about the labyrinth and now I get to see it! Woohoo!
Great photos-
I would like to design and create a labyrinth...or wait, maybe a zen garden...how agbout a labyrinth that leads to the center of a zen garden!
What a neat place. I really enjoyed enlarging the pictures and seeing all the details and textures.
So great to finally see your labyrinth.
This is a very pretty labyrinth. I hope to make mine permanent this Lent.
