This coming weekend, Christy will be performing in "Hansel & Gretel". This is an opera being produced by the University of Mary Hardin Baylor. Last night was technical night, so there were lots of starts and stops and trying on of costumes. I snapped a few photos...a bit blurry, but representative of the activities.
Angels...Christy is flying.

Final Scene: Christy is third from the right, on the floor.

Honestly, I just used Hansel and Gretel in a sentence. My foster care client is still here and he was looking for the story in his book. When it wasn't there he said that he thought it was because the step mother was too mean.
Colleen...our brains are connected. Or maybe we are twins, separated at birth. ;-)
Susan
I bet she can't wait for openning night! It looks like they are having a lot of fun.
What a great opportunity for her! Tell her I said, "break a leg!"
You're right--technical nights or dress rehersals are a little blurry. :) I remember these days with my kids and I loved it! Are you nervous yet? I was always nervous opening night! HAVE FUN!
I'm glad you've got these here! Believe me, I know how hard it is to get a good shot of performances, where nothing is fuzzy. I think you did great!
They beautifully capture the chaos that is backstage of any production. Sounds like a great opportunity for the kids as well.
Hope they had fun.
Ahhhh... cute!! :) Christy "is" a little angel...
