Enneagrams

Please go here and take this freebie "test". It won't hurt much unless you don't like forced questions. I am conflicted this morning as my enneagram is now a three way tie between numbers TWO, FOUR and SIX. I used to be a TWO. Perhaps this is what happens during mid-life. If you take the "test" let me know which number you are. There is no right number. For the purist, I will say we are all a bit of all the numbers but we have predominant numbers at work in our lives. OK, all you brave souls go for it! You can read more about my conflicted morning thoughts here. Oh, and if you open this photo, you will note it is fuzzy and sort of off center, even after 15 attempts. I will blame it on my conflicted enneagram!

I LOVE the enneagram. In the past I've studied it and even took a class once. I am classic 5. The thinker, observer. I learned more about myself via the enneagram than astrology or any other system. I've figured all my family members and friends (tested them or made a guess). It has helped me to have tolerance for others, knowing we all just have different styles of trying to get our needs met.

I don't think you change numbers in a lifetime, but you may be expressing different "wings" more or less at different times. I also don't like some of the tests. I like the one I use but I haven't found it online.

The price of our fantasy cottage in Ireland converted to dollars is $250,000. I left you a comment to your comment.

Colleen, you are my "unnamed" 5 friend...you are the one that drove me testing again. heeh
Can you figure me out without ever having met me? ;-) Which book/test do you recommend? Did you know you were a 5 right away? I still think I'm heavy on the two and I need to do a bit more reading on the "Wings" to remember how that works.

Off to look at your fantasty cottage!

Ok, I just did the test and came out with three equal answers.... I got 6 points in 1, 2 and 8. I thought it was funny that the only one I got a zero in was 6.

I had to try on different numbers and live with them for a while. The "compulsions" really have helped me hammer down my number. It could be your wings, or it could be your tendency under stress to move in a certain direction. But I agree with Colleen. When you find your number it's the most helpful tool I've found. And most of the tests I've found don't really help.

I really like the enneagram too. I had some friends who used it to help me deal with some of my chronic fears and insecurities.

I am a 5 :-).

Sandie...you can listen to a summary of each of the "numbers" and it adds a bit more understanding. I can see some 1,2 and 6 in you.:-)

Sheila...did you settle on 4 or 5 for your number?

Amp..yes, I can see the 5 in you. There may actually be three 5's here..you, Colleen & Sheila. Though Sheila may be a 4. Not sure.

One thing I realized when reading more about 6's, is that they have a hard time figuring out which number they are. hmmm

I'm probably a 2 or 9.
