Sunset over Fort Hood
makes one forget,
at least for a moment,
the loneliness
of families separated.

Thanks Carol & Sheila! I spend 3 hours on the Fort Hood military base every Tuesday evening because that is where Christy has her girl scout meeting. We are the only non-military family. As soon as I pass through the gates of Fort Hood, I feel sad. I try to shake it but listening to the wives stories of husband's in Iraq is so sad. So, I gulped down that sunset as we left yesterday and I felt a little brightness and hoped that all those dear families felt it too.

This is a wonderful shot! I haven't been posting like I want lately, but I also want to tell you how much I really enjoyed your retreat shots. I know someday we will do a women's retreat together too!

Wow and Wow. That is a fabulous shot! Sad sentiment to go with it. I so feel for those families :(.

Are you kidding me?! THAT really puts things in perspective ... with very touching words to accompany it.

I left you a comment to your comment. The doctor visit post has really stirred up discussion!
