It's always felt more like friends and family when you go through the back door... the front door is just too formal! That's a good picture of your gate. We never use our front door or porch at all, everyone just comes to the back! I love this picture, it is so welcoming and full of Southern Hospitality.

Your backyard takes the cake. It is so beautiful! Makes me want to tame mine. :)
Van Morrison has a great old song about the back room where he and his buddies drink wine and watch the school girls go by.
