Little Drummer Boy!
A photo of my dear drummer boy. At 15 1/2 years of age and 5'11" in height, he is not so little anymore!
This afternoon, Nathan and I visited with Dave, the drum instructor at "Heart of Texas Music". He says drummers are born to drum. I remember Nathan asking for his first drum set at 6. He has drummed his fingers for years. Was he born to play the drums? I guess we will find out!

Another thing our Nathan's have in common....the drumming that is, not the height! My Nathan is 5'4" at the most and with my sister at 5'5" and his dad at 5'7", I am not sure he is going to get but a couple inches taller. He could though, because there are a few tall great-uncles in family tree.
I hope he enjoys his drums..
Hey Susan! My 15 1/2 year old Jacob is becoming a drummer as well... it's funny how some of them just seem to have it IN them, isn't it! Fun to see your guy!
Sandie & Mary-
Right now Nathan only has the fairly "quiet" pad and sticks. He starts lessons next week and if he really likes the lessons, down the road we will need to get some drums. My main concern is noise! Where do your guys have their drums. How noisey are they? :-)

Nathan has hand drums ..like bongos and some others in the music room, however he has been known to just carry them around all over the house. They are not too loud, just annoying when I am trying to watch TV and he wants to sit next to me and 'play' during commercials. He has a full set of drums at his mom's apt. in his room so they don't bother me :)
I'm 5' 1" and starting to shrink and my oldest son is 6' 1" or 2"! I also stand on my tiptoes when we pose for a photo. My husband is 6 foot as well.
Gosh, he's growing up--imagine that! :) Laura got a set of drums from Mike for Christmas. She loves them! Works out all her frustrations. She plays in the garage. Have fun, kiddo! My kids all sang--one played the trumpet. I'm not sure I could have done the drums, but when you love 'em, anything can happen. :)
