Camp Kacheena!

Some of the girls from Christy's Girl Scout troop(and a few Moms) met at Camp Kacheena today. This is the Girl Scout camp for the central Texas Bluebonnet Council and is located about 20 minutes from our home. As we hiked down this hill to the water, the view was quiet lovely!

Canoes waiting for summer Girl Scout campers! Today was a nice preview of what is to come!

I really like the canoe shot! There is not much in life that is more peaceful than a smooth canoe ride.

Are the bluebonnets popping up yet? You are making me miss Texas!

Paula, the bluebonnets are popping...just starting. I was admiring them when we were in Austin Monday. :-)

So, what's a rough canoe ride like??? :) I like the canoe shot, too. After my little kayaking experience last year, I can hear myself saying, "Why not???" I wonder if canoeing is like kayaking???

Sheila- I have canoed several times but never kayakked. Hope to remedy that soon. A canoe ride takes teamwork and a bit of muscle if you need to get somewhere fast or are going against the flow. Of course what is the point of getting somewhere fast, in a canoe? A smooth, slow canoe ride is lovely.
