Private Places

Closets aren't just for clothes! I took a very small bedroom closet and made it my "college" and "study nook". Here is a portion of my inspiration wall and tiny desk stacked high with books and other goodies. Can you see Carol and me in the top left corner?

Small portion of the small corner bookcase in my closet. "Small" is the operative word here. It's amazing how much you can put in a small place!

Hey, I do see me. I still think it is funny that we both posted our little "nooks" on the same day! Great minds think alike. LOL! I took that picture we took and lightened it. I hope you have the lightened up copy. If not, I will send it to you. I really like the one of us on top of Mt. Bonnell. What a happy day that was. THANK YOU FOR THE GREAT MEMORY FOR 2006!

P.S. I am going to have place for photos in my nook. You have inspired me! If you look where the sun is shining the rectangular frame in my picture is the one I won at Beth's house, and it is filled with four pictures from TDS retreats!

That is a cool idea. I was thinking I need a space that is mine. I don't think I have one in the whole house that I don't share with at least one other person!

Me again, Susan, that painting with the umbrellas. You know that he is an OREGON artist. :)

Susan's own corner of the world--now if you would just run for President and create more little nooks everywhere...you could, you know! :)

Let me encourage anyone that so desires, to get a little closet. My friend Sheila, once had a walk in closet that was her own private space. You can really stretch out in there. Everyone needs a little spot that is just for them. I LOVE my cozy closet. I want to paint the walls this spring.

Thanks for posting these photos! Just like your lakehouse, I've always tried to envision your college in the closet... it's wonderful. It was great getting to open it larger to examine all of the photos and quotes you have hanging up.
