Here is Nathan, our one and only son, loading up the last of the firewood. He's my right hand man! Looks like we are going to need another cord of wood to see us through the winter.
THis is a great shot. The teens around here are usually either mugging for the camera or doing everything they can to avoid it! We go through a lot of wood too!
I love woodfires -- there's something that's so much warmer and comforting about a wood fire than central air. I miss having those; had two huge wood stoves when I was growing up. I remember the smell of the wood and the wonderful homemade chili and soup that Mom used to make on them.
