Gazebo Sanctuary

I have spent many an hour in this gazebo-writing, listening, observing, thinking, visiting and sometimes napping. This is my gazebo sanctuary, wearing winter. I want to photograph the gazebo each season to show off it's "clothing". The gazebo in winter is rather stark and yet I find it beautiful!

Your backyard is out of control! I am stunned by how developed and beautiful it is! What is engraved on the inside of the gazebo? Johannah and I were trying to read it.

I have written quotes, in chalk, around the eves. The one you were trying to read is,

"Let's not make it tiday, it wouldn't be a secret garden if it were tidy."

I also have written,
"Friendship is a sheltering tree

and

"Cultivate the garden within."

Thank you. The backyard was fully developed, other than adding a few shrubs and flowers here and there, when we bought the house. It really was the deciding factor.

And I haven't posted a picture of the creek yet...maybe tommorrow. It's is right on the other side of the fence....a drop off of about 9 feet.

I love the gazebo! And the whole backyard for that matter. Thank you for sharing. This photo blogging is inspiring me. Have you gotten your very own camera yet?

Karen,

I bought an el cheapo Polaroid for $75 at Walmart. I need to figure out how to use it. hehe Seriously, everything is on default right now. YOu have to do all kinds of gyrations(at least it feels that way to me) to change the lighting setting and that jazz. I'm just proud to have figured out how to upload. If I keep on snapping shots maybe one day I'll get a more expensive/simpler camera, if there is such an animal.

Thanks for bragging on the gazebo!

Doesn't look stark to me! I'm so glad to see the gazebo. I'd spend hours there myself!

You don't know how happy it makes me to be able to see the gazebo! It is more beautiful than I imagined. I can see why you spend so much time there.
